The Bible proclaims, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so" (Ps. 107:2). I certainly feel redeemed and would like to take this opportunity to glorify God.

Although as a young person I'd attended a Christian Science Sunday School and had lovely healings, it was only about ten years ago that I really began studying Science consistently and earnestly. Seven years later I joined The Mother Church and a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. One Friday evening, a few months after this, I was brushing my teeth and a piece of tooth fell out in my hands. Upon examination I found that my two lower central incisors were loose and crooked, and that the side of one tooth was missing. Right then and there I decided to rely entirely on God for healing. I went to my room and started studying the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy's writings.

The next morning I attended a Christian Science lecture sponsored by our branch church. I went eagerly, knowing the message would be a healing one. In the course of the lecture, the speaker gave an account of how, through Christian Science, a man had been healed of lung disease. The physicians, who had previously tried in vain to help the man, all marveled at the healing, wanting to know "where the molecules and atoms came from to fill the cavity." But the lecturer explained that in Christian Science physical change is brought about through the spiritualization of consciousness. As Paul says in Romans (12:2): "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." That evening I continued my study.
