What do you think about Christian healing?
If you are a regular Sentinel reader, you probably feel healing through prayer is a natural part of Christianity. You know Christian Science teaches that the healing power of primitive Christianity has by no means been lost. You may have had healings of illness yourself, and when there's a need you rely for healing on the understanding of God that Christian Science affords. But we still have not completely answered the question, What do you think about healing?
For example, do you think about healing whether or not you or a family member is in immediate need of healing? And have you considered why healing of sin and sickness through prayer is so basic to Christian Science? If the honest answers are "No," it may be time to give a lot more thought to what you really think about healing.
Healing solely through spiritual means is actually the sign of pure Christianity. It is not merely something we would like to do. It is what happens when we have done in some measure what we are supposed to do—when we have left all for Christ, the divine Truth which Jesus embodied. Then healing inevitably becomes part of our experience.
