Since joining The Mother Church and a branch church over...
Since joining The Mother Church and a branch church over thirty years ago, I've had or witnessed so many healings that I don't know where to begin to relate even some of them. But I do think I owe the Christian Science periodicals a testimony, sharing healing messages that might bless others.
As I recall, my first healing as a child was one of a bad cold. A Christian Science practitioner told my mother that wet feet couldn't affect my health (this was my mother's fear). When Mamma's and my fears were abated, the cold quickly ended.
One night, years later, my throat was so sore I couldn't sleep, so I got up and read from our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. After about three hours I went back to bed healed, and I slept comfortably the rest of the night. I don't remember the exact statements that helped me, but I do remember that it was reading Science and Health that healed me. It changed my thinking from the false to the true.
