Gaining dominion over anger
To rise above anger through divine grace is the mark of a true Christian. Through God's healing, saving grace, Christ Jesus mastered even the malicious anger that instigated the false accusations against him and the attempts to kill him. He overcame death itself through resurrection.
Jesus said to his followers, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you." John 14:27. We can never really lose the peace that comes to us through Christ, the eternal divine idea that Jesus taught and lived. This peace is native to us; therefore anger is merely an imposition, a belief that evil has power. Anger, like all sin, has neither power, cause, nor effect—no entity, unless we give it one. God, sinless good, is all-power, the only cause. And man created in His likeness, our true identity, is His continuous, harmonious effect.
