I have found that services in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, are a source of healing and inspiration. In every Christian Science service, one hears readings from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. These two books serve as the dual pastor of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and of its branches throughout the world.

On a particular Sunday morning I gained an understanding that obeying God is vital in my life. A friend and I were traveling by bicycle through the southern United States. At the time I was not a practicing Christian Scientist, nor was I leading a moral life. But I did enjoy attending the branch church services in different cities. In one of the cities we visited, we attended a Sunday service. As I listened to the readings in that branch church, I felt completely at peace. I felt God's presence and His love for me. I then knew that Christian Science was the way to true happiness.

It was in that church service that I truly felt God's power.
