Sally meets a good Samaritan
Do you remember Christ Jesus' story about being a good neighbor?
A traveler from Samaria saw a man by the side of the road who had been beaten and robbed. Two other travelers had seen him also, but they had passed by on the other side. The Samaritan went to the man, washed and covered his wounds, and then took him to an inn and paid for his room so he could rest until he felt better. Now people call someone who helps others—even strangers—a good Samaritan. See Luke 10:30-37 .
One Sunday afternoon Sally was helped by a good Samaritan. She was riding bicycles with her mommy on the streets near her home. It was the most fun because she had a brand-new red bicycle. But then it began to rain, and going down a steep hill, the bikes skidded and Sally and Mommy both fell.
