The heavenly strain of Love
To all who are touched by discord, Christian Science brings a message of comfort and healing. Through scientific prayer, strained relations as well as physical and moral ills can be healed.
Human relationship problems present a fundamental error—a belief of separation from good. Strain would disorganize or destroy the cohesive power of good. What are the antagonistic forces that cause strain? Fear, hate, willfulness, jealousy, misunderstanding, lust, ignorance, and many more.
But these evils are no part of God's creation (including man), which He decreed to be good. See Gen. 1:31 . Evil, without a creator or a cause, must be nonexistent and unreal. Evil is actually an impostor. The power, intelligence, and activity of cohesion are enforced by God, Life. In a statement from Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes, "The material so-called gases and forces are counterfeits of the spiritual forces of divine Mind, whose potency is Truth, whose attraction is Love, whose adhesion and cohesion are Life, perpetuating the eternal facts of being." Science and Health, p. 293.
