FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
You can prove it!
Have you ever heard a person boast about something he could do and someone else respond, "Oh yeah? Prove it!"
If a person can show his skill, we are convinced he knows what he's talking about. A proof, then, is the result of putting a theory or proposition to a practical test.
When I was in college, I was very self-conscious about a large wart on my finger. As a matter of fact, I hated it and went to great lengths to hide it. During the next few years more warts appeared. They were painful and repulsive to me. But, to be honest, I tolerated them grudgingly by trying to ignore them.
