It is my great desire to thank God because I have become acquainted with Christian Science. For many years I was under medical treatment in an effort to recover my health, but instead of getting better I grew worse. I went to psychiatrists and psychologists, as I was suffering from intense nervous depression.

When the remedies no longer had any effect on me, a friend who knew of Christian Science gave me the book Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and I visited a Christian Science practitioner. Then I abandoned all medical care, and the practitioner prayed for me. Full healing was immediate. I loved pondering "the scientific statement of being," which affirms man's unity with God (Science and Health, p. 468). The sentence "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness" flooded my consciousness with divine light.

Today I enjoy good health, I work, and I study Christian Science. And I am profoundly grateful to God for the fact that I have taken Christian Science class instruction. My feeling of oneness with Him continues to grow.
