I have had so many healings in Christian Science

I have had so many healings in Christian Science. I would like to relate just a couple of them here.

Recently I kept a dinner engagement with a friend and his wife. The friend picked me up first, and then we picked up his wife at the beauty parlor. As I was getting into the car, my friend accidentally slammed the door shut on my hand. I called out to him, "Open the door," which he did. Then neither of us spoke of the incident; as Christian Scientists we were both dealing with the situation prayerfully—silently refuting the suggestion of accident. I did not look at the hand but slipped it into my pocket, and I silently affirmed "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It ends with these words: "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual."

Later, when the three of us went out to dinner, I removed my hand from my pocket. All pain was gone, and the hand was as smooth as the other one. I was so grateful that we had been alert and had refused to accept the belief that accidents can touch God's child.
