Feeling close to God
Have you ever seen an old-fashioned iron frying pan? It's all iron, even the handle, and it retains heat and cooks meat and vegetables evenly. After it has been used and washed, it can be dried by setting it on the stove over the flame for a few minutes. That's the way Susan's mother liked to dry her iron frying pan.
One evening when Susan went into the kitchen to put away the dishes, she saw the big old iron frying pan on the stove and picked it up.
The handle was still very hot because her mother had turned off the flame under the pan only a moment before. Susan dropped the pan instantly, but her hand appeared to be burned, and it hurt.
