I was raised in Christian Science and attended Christian Science Sunday School...
I was raised in Christian Science and attended Christian Science Sunday School as a child. Although I have always relied on Christian Science for healing, I never truly began to understand the healing power of this Science until my second year of college.
The weekend before my finals I decided to go home to have a quiet place to study. During one of my breaks I went outside to play with our two dogs. While running I slipped on a patch of ice and fell sharply to the ground. I tried to get up, but I found that my back would not support me and I was in great pain.
After I had been helped into the house, I began studying the Bible, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I also claimed my true identity as a perfect child of God. Then I called a Christian Science practitioner to help me in my prayerful work.
