"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works...
"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord" (Ps. 118:17). This statement from the Bible, which I pondered at a time of deep need, marked the turning point in the most outstanding of the many Christian Science healings I have had. My gratitude for full restoration of health knows no bounds. It is now, indeed, time to "declare the works of the Lord."
Early in 1982 I became quite ill. The condition was never medically diagnosed, but the symptoms included coughing, a substantial and rapid weight loss, and extreme weakness. I have always relied completely on Christian Science for healing, and when this situation arose I turned at once to this Science. But progress seemed elusive, and for some time the picture was one of deterioration rather than improvement.
Over a period of several months I prayed to see the unreality of the difficulty and to understand clearly that God, the perfect cause, can only produce perfect effect—God's man, His beloved child. Loving assistance from Christian Science practitioners at different times was provided along the way.
