"A place prepared of God"
I had just put my husband on a plane to a distant city. If the job interview proved satisfactory and he was hired, he would resign his present position. We would have to leave our home in the country and move to a large industrial city. While waiting for my husband's call, I had many questions. How could we know what was the right thing to do? How could we know where we really belonged?
From the airport I went directly to the nearest Christian Science Reading Room. The attendant cheerfully showed me to the study area and closed the door. I was alone with my thoughts.
I didn't want to leave my home with its view of distant mountains, orchards, and fields, its quiet and its privacy. On the other hand I didn't want to deny my husband an improved position if that was the answer to months of prayer about an unpleasant job situation. What to do!
