Once I had a wart
Once I had a wart. I had it for over two years. Meanwhile I was going to the Christian Science Sunday School. I had been taught that the power of God heals, but my mom reminded me that I could make a choice. I could choose to rely on God or have medical treatment. I chose to go to a doctor.
When I went to the doctor, he told me that all he could do was to either burn the wart off or cut it out. He gave me time to think it over. I didn't want to go back.
The wart kept getting bigger, and my mom reminded me again that I still had the choice of working this out with God. One day she read me a story for children from the Sentinel. It was about a boy with a lot of warts on his hands who was healed. I thought about that story a lot. I thought that if he could be healed like that, I could be healed too.
