A recent vacation in the Rocky Mountains awakened in me a desire...
A recent vacation in the Rocky Mountains awakened in me a desire to put my gratitude in writing and to share what has proved to be a wonderful Christian Science healing.
About three years ago, when I went for walks, I experienced chest pains, dizziness, and exhaustion. I had learned to turn to God for all my needs ever since I began studying Christian Science three years after graduation from college—now, almost fifty years ago. I rejected these symptoms as false suggestions about God's man and realized the truth of my health and well-being. However, there was no evidence of improvement; I could not enjoy my daily walks, nor could I play golf.
One day I decided that I needed to break out of the sedentary condition I was feeling confined to, by doing good for someone else. So, I called a friend who I knew was refinishing the woodwork in her home, and offered to help her. She accepted my offer. But after a couple of hours of working while standing on a ladder, I became very dizzy. Without explaining the problem to my friend, I simply excused myself and left for home.
