Refuse the talking serpent
The man of God's creation, the man you truly are right now, is totally unlimited. Because we have learned to think of ourselves as human beings, we may not identify ourselves as immortal. We have been educated away from recognizing our spiritual selfhood.
Man is the manifestation of the infinite, all-cognizant Mind. This one divine consciousness is the only intelligence of the universe. God's man reflects this intelligence, which we see expressed on the human scene in the building of bridges, in sending spacemen to the moon, in birds as they migrate, in enabling us individually to do and say the intelligent thing. This intelligence is not a personal possession, but is ours because we are God's reflection. In exact proportion as we accept this truth, and claim it as divine law, we express it and see it evidenced in our life.
Personal sense is belief in an ego, or material self, separate from God, Life, Mind, Love, the very source of our being. To accept this belief would be like a sunbeam trying to shine without the sun or a drop of water trying to be a whole ocean by itself. Personal sense breaks the first commandment and accepts the temptation offered by the serpent to Eve, "Ye shall be as gods." Gen. 3:5.
