FOR CHILDREN
A true story for Tricia
A little girl climbed up onto the sofa beside her great-grandmother. "Tell me a story," she begged. "Please tell me a story." Tricia loves books and stories. So does Great-grandmother. This time Great-grandmother told Tricia this true story:
"One Saturday afternoon, in a small city on an ocean bay, my family was helping to make our church ready for the Sunday Christian Science service. It was a bright and sunny day, so the door into the church was left wide open. A little bird flew in the open doorway and hopped around. He saw the light coming through the glass windows in the high ceiling and soared up, expecting to be in the sky again. But he found himself shut in.
