The right questions
The carnal mind wants us to ask every question but the right ones. Confronted by sickness, one may be tempted to ask: "How long will I be sick?" or, "Why should this happen to me?" or, "Will this return again? These questions can send us spinning in a whirlpool.
We do not progress when pondering questions concerning material causes. In the Christian Science textbook Mrs. Eddy writes, "Spiritual causation is the one question to be considered, for more than all others spiritual causation relates to human progress." Science and Health, p.170.
Christian Science teaches that there is no cause apart from God. He has not created a secondary or alternate cause. God is 100 percent good, so the nature of His creation is only good. The cause of evil is actually a moot question because what is not of God, is not.
