About twenty-five years ago our young son drowned on our farm. When we found him, a teen-age nephew who was visiting us immediately gave him artificial respiration. My husband, who was not a Christian Scientist, called a doctor. Time passed, and despite all efforts the boy never regained consciousness.
Afterward, though I was deeply grief-stricken, I did feel God's nearness and tender, comforting love. When expressions of sympathy were voiced, I particularly could feel the strength of Love's gentle touch sustaining me.
