You're the very image of your divine Father-Mother!
How often we hear this comment from one observing a young child for the first time: "He's the very image of his father!" But the statement is true in a much deeper sense, because, as the Bible declares, "God created man in his own image." Gen. 1:27. God being Spirit, every individual is in truth the spiritual image of his heavenly Father-Mother, God.
As such, man is God's exact likeness. Just as a mirrored image faithfully reflects its original, man always reflects God's purity, perfection, completeness, intelligence, and love.
Does this picture of man seem too idealistic? Of course, when viewed materially, man seems far from perfect. Seen through mortal eyes, he appears to be Spirit's opposite, matter, because the material senses project in human consciousness a distorted image, vulnerable to sin, sickness, limitation.
