"The simplicity that is in Christ"
Hasn't everyone at some time felt besieged by almost unbearable pressures? The whirlwind of human life often leads to immense complications from which one yearns to free himself.
The way to find the right answer to any problem and resolve any dilemma is to turn to Christ, Truth. Paul, who recognized Christ as the healing Way, gave us a clue to where we can find peace when he spoke of "the simplicity that is in Christ." II Cor. 11:3. The pure and simple way of living is found when we rely on the Christ for healing and for adjusting untoward situations and when we follow in Christ Jesus' footsteps.
Everyone can come to know and accept the Christ because it is the idea of Truth, and Truth is not complicated. Simply stated, spiritual truth is whatever is real—perfect, good, permanent. It has no element of matter. Truth appears in whatever is genuinely honest and good in one's human experience. In Christian Science, divine Truth is a synonym for God, so His perfect being is expressed through the Christ-idea, or idea of Truth.
