Shortly after we had arrived in Pennsylvania for the winter, my dog, Rusty, disappeared. After searching the neighborhood without results, we notified the police, mentioning that the dog was wearing a name tag and a Maine state license.
I set to work to reinforce through prayer my understanding of God as the all-knowing and all-seeing Mind. I knew that Mind, God, consciously governs all His ideas every moment, and that none can get outside His love and care.
After two weeks we received a call from someone at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The caller informed us who had taken the dog and where he was but also said that the people holding him refused to give him up. The caller suggested we take certain steps, but these didn't seem right to me at the time.
