No parent is alone
Single parents sometimes long for someone with whom to share their work and responsibilities—especially when the demands on their wisdom, energy, patience, and time seem to exceed the supply. The desire for assistance is understandable, but such assistance may not really meet the need if it only involves limited, human resources.
A struggling single parent might ask, "Then, what is the answer?"
The teachings of Christian Science offer solutions, and these words of Mrs. Eddy's might be usefully adapted to both this problem and the basic answer: "Men give counsel; but they give not the wisdom to profit by it. To ask wisdom of God, is the beginning of wisdom." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 359.
