Doing what's right
So many people in this world are good people. One thing that makes them good is their honest desire to do what's right. If one doesn't have a desire to act rightly, it's going to be a lot harder for him to do so. The right desire puts him on the proper road.
Yet there's a stumbling block good people sometimes come up against. Maybe they're faced with a career choice; or they may be confronting a major decision involving a human relationship difficulty. The feeling people often have is: "I would do the right thing if I only knew the right thing to do." They truly want to see fulfillment of God's promise in the Bible: "I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths." Prov. 4:11.
But just which path is the right one? Christian Science offers a spiritually original solution to this sometimes troublesome question. Certainly some courses of action are clearly honorable while others are obviously wrong; some more useful and appropriate, others less so. But the person trying to make a decision often remains confused if he's waiting for God to tell him which human path to select.
