As a new student of Christian Science, I had a real desire to learn more about God and His precious Commandments. Christ Jesus' example motivated me to reach out to God in prayer for the answers to problems that came up in daily living. That meant putting God first, and praying about each decision that I made. The Lord's Prayer was my guide. Especially these words (Matt. 6:10): "Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Letting God's plan unfold in my life, I felt, was essential to the study and practice of Christian Science.
When we were raising a young family, my husband's business required a great deal of travel.
While he was gone I missed him, but our prayers in Christian Science sustained our family. We felt no sense of separation, for we realized that God's family is ever intact.
