Cherishing our children metaphysically
The majority of parents everywhere care very deeply about their children. They would do anything they possibly could for their children's happiness. They also want to keep them safe. Whether our children are little and just learning to cross the street alone, teen-agers and coming in contact with the glittering temptations of the world, or adults with challenging career decisions, a parent's desire remains the same. We want to protect them without willfully interfering with their lives. How can we do it?
Christian Science has a wonderfully reassuring way of showing you how your desire to help your children in the right manner can be supported. We can learn to cherish our children metaphysically through spiritually scientific prayer.
Praying for our children never means that we ignore the proper responsibilities of a parent to care in a wise and practical way for their health and safety until they've reached adulthood. But prayer gives us the satisfaction of knowing that we can rely on God's love to guide us and our children in making right decisions. And prayer is the comforting way we can continue to cherish our children after they've grown up.
