Right directions for career advancement
A friend of ours gives excellent directions. No matter how complicated it may be to reach a place in her city, she can usually tell us just what we need to know to get there—even which lane to get into for a turn that is coming up on the freeway!
Right directions are also needed by those seeking guidance regarding their careers. Especially in this period of high unemployment, not only young people just starting out but those who have been in the work force for some time are looking for signposts.
Christ Jesus gave clear directions for living—including how to deal with daily needs—in the Sermon on the Mount as recorded in the book of Matthew, chapters 5-7. To study those chapters earnestly and often (many people do so at least once a week) will spiritualize our thinking and Christianize our living. They are like a map to guide us in the right way. There we find Christ Jesus' directive "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt. 6:33
