"...and my blessing upon thine offspring"
Expectant parents, yearning for mental and physical well-being in their child, have the opportunity to invoke God's law and to trustingly place the birth under the guardianship of divine Love. They can learn of the wholly spiritual nature of life and substance and prove divine Mind's control over every aspect of their human experience.
The Science of Mind-healing brings joy and confidence to expectant parents by revealing man as solely the offspring of God. It teaches that man's origin and identity are found not in vulnerable matter but in inviolate divine Being. God originates and delineates His own likeness; and man, as that likeness, is the eternal expression of the wholeness and perfection of infinite Spirit.
As this understanding is nurtured in consciousness and allowed to hold sway, human procreation is progressively freed from the precarious beliefs inherent in a false, corporeal view of man. This false view perpetuates unpredictability; yet expectant parents can see unpredictability eliminated from their experience through seeking to know God and man aright. The preparation of the parents' thought through receptivity to divine good will more clearly reveal man's birthright of purity and perfection, and the developing human birth will more closely pattern the spiritual facts of harmony and well-being.
