Employment for all
The thrill of a new job, or the satisfaction of steady progress in an old one, is what most people desire. Useful, productive employment is a reality for many; they are happily placed and well motivated.
Yet for roughly 9.8 percent of the total work force in the United States (and the figure is much higher in other parts of the world) unemployment is a grim fact, often underscored by rejections based on such factors as age, education, or background.
