"What cannot God do?" Mrs. Eddy asks in Science and Health (p. 135). Relying on God as All and knowing that to Him nothing is impossible, I recently had beautiful proof of God's law in action.

One day my husband said that he had found large numbers of worms, or caterpillars, eating our wheat and rye crops. He decided he would have to hire a plane to dust them with an insecticide or the harvest would be lost. On hearing this, a friend and I began to pray scientifically in an effort to spiritualize our views of the circumstances. A passage from No and Yes by Mrs. Eddy was of great help (p. 30): "God's law reaches and destroys evil by virtue of the allness of God.

"He need not know the evil He destroys, any more than the legislator need know the criminal who is punished by the law enacted. God's law is in three words, 'I am All;' and this perfect law is ever present to rebuke any claim of another law." And the ninety-first Psalm assured us: "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."
