Finding Tiki

Chris and Jeff had wanted a dog of their own for a long time. So they were very happy when a friend offered them a fluffy silver poodle named Tiki.

The boys love Tiki very much and take care of him themselves. The three of them run and play together for hours in their yard. In one of their favorite games they use an old furry hat Mommy had given them. The boys throw the hat as far as they can. Then Tiki darts across the yard to retrieve his toy. Once he has it firmly in his teeth, he bounds around the lawn, practically begging Chris and Jeff to catch him. When they finally catch up to their puppy, he lets them take the hat and the game begins again.

One day while they were out with Tiki their cousin Steve came to visit. While the three boys played in the sandbox, Tiki quietly slipped out of the yard through an open gate. It wasn't until Steve left for home that Mommy noticed Tiki was missing.
