Are you keeping your peace?
Keeping the peace among nations deeply concerns many of us and rightly so, but are we equally concerned about keeping our own peace? Is this not essential to our happiness and even to our health?
A person who refuses to be disturbed, offended, or antagonized by another's actions is a joy to his family, friends, and associates. He gets along well with others and helps to reduce friction. This does not keep him from standing firmly for what he believes is right, but it does preclude his stooping to irritable or uncharitable words and acts.
How can we maintain our peace? By knowing the spiritual facts of being. By awaking to the true nature of God and man. This empowers us to refuse to feel hurt, take offense, indulge temper, react to criticism.
