Dealing with premonitions through intuition
There is no cause to fear premonitions or what they imply. When we understand even a little of Christian Science, premonitions of irresistible evil cease to impress us and, with prayer, soon disappear.
Science helps us to distinguish between the images of mortal thought and the spiritual intuitions that are thoughts from God. Essentially, a premonition is a feeling that a certain event (often evil) is about to befall us, a loved one, or mankind. Spiritual intuitions, on the other hand, come from God, divine Mind, and are the basis of demonstrating safety and harmony.
A few years ago I had a number of premonitions that appeared to come true, and I was becoming fearful. One time the thought came to me, for no apparent reason, that I would die soon. Especially as I had a young child dependent on me for mothering, I took a firm stand with Christian Science and decided to get rid of these premonitions, once and for all, by seeing more clearly that God is Life and that man is the expression of Life.
