Since my testimony appeared in the Sentinel about twenty years...
Since my testimony appeared in the Sentinel about twenty years ago, I have had further proofs of God's healing care. A growth on my head was healed, but later another growth appeared. Although it was painless, it was very obvious, and my hair failed to cover it. I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help. She explained that this false sense of substance was not of God's, Spirit's, creating; therefore it was unreal and had never touched my true being. After a few weeks of the practitioner's prayer, the growth opened and drained, and my healing was complete.
More recently, I suffered almost unbearable pain for several days. I couldn't sleep and found myself getting up early each morning to pace the room. I endeavored to know that I was really the perfect image of God, His spiritual idea. In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." This pain was certainly offensive, and it became difficult to think.
