Good night, sleep tight!
Sometimes the night might seem scary and unfriendly. What can you do if you're afraid of the dark? Some children leave a small light on in their room all night. Others leave their doors open just a crack. But isn't there a way you can really get rid of that fear forever? Of course! Let me tell you how Robynn did.
Robynn used to be afraid of the dark. And every night she'd wake up two, three, sometimes even four times, crying and very unhappy. Robynn and her mother got busy right away, thinking and talking about God.
Each night before Robynn went to bed, Robynn and her mother sat together in the big rocking chair and sang their favorite hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal. They even turned out the lights and sang together in the dark! Robynn didn't know all the words to the hymns yet, but she hummed along. She loved this quiet time because it was so easy to feel her Father-Mother God all around her. After singing, Robynn and her mother would say a prayer Mary Baker Eddy wrote especially for little children. It was just right for helping Robynn. Maybe you know it, too:
