One day I woke with a very sore throat. I told my mother, and she brought me the Bible and wanted me to read my favorite passage from it. So I went back to bed and read the story about the nobleman who went to Christ Jesus and told him that his son at home was dying. He begged Jesus to come home with him and try and make his son better. (See John 4:46–53.) But Jesus said, "Go thy way; thy son liveth" (v. 50).
As soon as I read those words, I saw that God had healed the boy; Jesus did not need to visit him. My throat stopped being sore, and I was well and able to go to school.
