Love enough to forgive
God's family is free from animosity and hate. This truth heals the hardness behind that famous old melodrama line, "Go, and never darken my door again!" Closed doors open, broken family circles are pulled tight: forgiving becomes the oil of getting along.
Our human experience is largely the result of our thinking. So let's begin with ourselves and our thoughts. The basis of forgiveness is that God is the only Mind, the divine consciousness that all His creation expresses. This ever-present Mind doesn't become hurt, angry, or resentful. How can it, for Mind is all-loving, eternal? And we are God's spiritual, immortal likeness. In reality, we have never for a second been separated from our divine source. Self-justification, pride, and self-will exist only as false suggestions of material sense, not as part of our conscious reflection of the one divine Mind.
What a relief! We are not really dealing primarily with many minds, racked with emotionalism and at cross-purposes. Such turmoil is not authentic, because it is not of God's making.
