In our right mind

People are not in their right mind when evil underlies their thoughts or acts, for they are not expressing the one real Mind— God. This Mind is infinite Love and Principle. Not only is this Mind right, it is the only source of right. Any claim of another so-called mind, an evil mind, is a lie.

In the Bible there is an account of a man "which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs." When Jesus asked him his name, he said, "Legion," because, as the gospel writer explains, "many devils were entered into him." Christ Jesus' understanding of the one Mind proved that God is Mind—the one perfect consciousness—by healing the man. The account continues further on, "Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind."^{Luke 8:27, 30, 35;}

In answer to the question "What is Mind?" Mrs. Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook: "Mind is God. The exterminator of error is the great truth that God, good, is the only Mind, and that the supposititious opposite of infinite Mind—called devil or evil—is not Mind, is not Truth, but error, without intelligence or reality."^{Science and Health, p. 469;}
