NOTICES

A new single volume of We Knew Mary Baker Eddy brings together firsthand views of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science by her friends and associates. These glimpses bear out a statement from the book's foreword: "She looked into realms beyond the temporal and molded her daily life accordingly."

Originally published in four separate volumes, the eighteen accounts describe Mrs. Eddy's strength, graciousness, compassion, wit, and untiring love. The reminiscences—now arranged chronologically—also provide proof of the great trust in God expressed by these early workers in the Christian Science movement. Brief biographies identifying their roles have been especially written for this volume.

The illustrations in this new volume are striking wood engravings based on photos of places mentioned in the book. A reproduction of a steel engraving of Mrs. Eddy used in an early edition of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures makes up the frontispiece. We Knew Mary Baker Eddy, hardbound in light gray cloth, sells for $10.50. It can be purchased at any Christian Science Reading Room, or ordered direct from The Christian Science Publishing Society, One Norway Street, Boston, MA, U.S.A. 02115.
