Assets that are better than gold
Recent speculation on the gold market may be seen as a symptom of widespread concern over global economic uncertainty and the threat of recession. Many investors are buying gold, feeling it will retain its value against paper money, the value of which is being eroded by inflation.
But is it economically wise to buy gold?—experts disagree. Some say the price will continue to rise; others believe it will fall. Amid all the hubbub and the talk of difficult economic times ahead, it is well to remind ourselves of what our true substance is and where our security lies.
The Bible points to the metaphysical fact that real substance is Spirit, God, divine Mind, and therefore is infinite and enduring. It is independent of and untouched by material beliefs and limitations. Man inherits true substance from his creator and rejoices in its abundance through divine law.
