Francis Fanshawe Algie

Not in the chaos
of untutored thought—
Self-will, self-love, uncrucified—
can one discern God's man,
Love's healing power prove.

But in uncalculating love
one comes
to true perception of eternal good—
Love's perfect likeness,
seen and understood.
