Christian Science has been my guide, my protector, and my...
Christian Science has been my guide, my protector, and my physician. I began studying Christian Science in November 1933. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy had been sent to me by a friend, and I immediately started to read it. I couldn't put it down. I loved it because it was so practical and could be used in everyday life.
The first healing result of my study concerned employment. I did not read with this purpose in mind. In fact, I did not realize at the time that Science would help in such situations. The work I found was a natural outcome of the enlarged spiritual vision I gained from reading the book.
Several years ago I had a condition in one arm and shoulder that made me unable to lift my arm to fasten my clothes in the back, or to brush my hair. There was no strength in that arm, and I had a great deal of pain.
