I was raised in Christian Science, attended the Sunday School, and was content to let my mother and a Christian Science practitioner help me in all situations. Sickness, broken bones, unhappy relations, were healed through prayer. Naturally, I did reach a point when it was very important for me to make this teaching my own.

There were many traits of character that needed improving and correcting, a home to be paid for, a business to run, all of which afforded me the need for constant study.

Through the prayerful help of a loving practitioner I had a healing of what I believe was a slipped disc, which kept me immobile for approximately three and a half months. This was over fifteen years ago, and there has not been a return of this problem. During the three and a half months that I was unable to walk, I was able to work from my chair in the living room, using my telephone for eight hours a day; and my business continued without interruption. This to me is another proof of God's constant care.
