Perfection and progress
God, the creator of the universe, expresses Himself in countless ideas, which constitute His creation. Spiritual being, the kingdom of heaven, exists at the point of perfection. Spiritual reality is complete, unchangeable.
God, the source of all being, is inexhaustible Life, and there is no lapse of time in the expression of the infinite variety of His ideas. God is eternal, without beginning and without end, never changing. His creation is not a historical act but an eternal fact.
Christian Science emphasizes the fact that because God is Spirit, all true being is spiritual. Being does not develop to spirituality; it is forever spiritual. Because God is infinite Principle, being is perfect. Being does not develop into perfection; it is forever perfect. It is, in its perfection, perpetual joy, the kingdom of heaven. God is All-in-all. His completeness excludes the possibility of anything beside Him, outside of Him, or unlike Him. God is Truth and therefore unchangeable.
