Can Christian Science heal hepatitis? Indeed it can! This...
Can Christian Science heal hepatitis? Indeed it can! This was proved to me some years ago when my husband and I were living in the middle of Africa. The American community was small but included seven doctors, two of whom appeared to be very opposed to Christian Science. Two other people were already down with hepatitis when I began to show symptoms of the disease. In asking a Christian Science practitioner in London to pray for me, I said I simply must be healed because, in a way, it seemed that Christian Science was on trial.
At this point, I looked up the allegory of the trial that concludes the chapter "Christian Science Practice" in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. This allegory had never appealed to me, and I had always tended to skip over it in my reading. But this time I was impelled to turn to it. As I pondered it, following step by step the trial of Mortal Man in the Court of Error, I found that the various witnesses testifying against the defendant were the very ones that needed to be discredited in my case. The whole trial took on new meaning.
