A lesson for the Fix-it family
We can trust God to keep things working properly in His universe. God's will is law to all that He made, and He made everything. So, in truth, everything everywhere is under His government and functioning just right.
This is a fact we would do well always to remember. Christ Jesus said we should include it in our constant prayers. Part of the Lord's Prayer is, "Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Matt. 6:10; And Mrs. Eddy gives the spiritual meaning of this sentence as, "Enable us to know,—as in heaven, so on earth,—God is omnipotent, supreme." Science and Health, p. 17;
If we always remembered that God is all-power and keeps everything harmonious, working perfectly, everyone would be saved a lot of trouble. But it isn't always easy to do this—especially if we haven't had much practice. This is when we can be grateful if we have parents to help us. The Bible tells us, "Honour thy father and thy mother," Ex. 20:12; and for good reason. Under God's guidance parents can often show us the best way of dealing with things going on around us.
