Promises and more promises
The Bible is the book of promise and of promises!
Who made them? Why, the Maker of all things, God! The physical senses can neither prophesy true promise nor bring it to pass. True promise is revealed directly from God to those receptive to good.
One may ask: "Are God's promises for me? Can I expect their fulfillment in my everyday experience?" Have you ever thought, "If only I had this or that" or, "If only I could be well this minute" or, "If only this mistake could be corrected"? Promises to solve every such "if" are at hand in the Scriptures: promises of abundant supply, of perfectness, of forgiveness for the penitent. Such promises help us replace false, doubting sense with what is spiritually real and true right now.
