Quick Healing
Our kindergartner was hit on the forehead by another child. He ran into the house and looked in the mirror. "How long will it take the bump to go away?" he cried.
I turned to God in prayer and mentally embraced him in the love I felt. We spoke of God's, Love's, ever-presence, and of the fact that we, as God's spiritual ideas, live in this ever-present divine Love. We sang hymns. We joyfully agreed that the bump, not being in ever-present Love, was already gone, that it had never really existed in God's allness.
Our son sneaked another look in the mirror, which showed that the bump was gone. But he cried again. "How did the bump go away so fast?" Smiling, I replied, "Did you want to keep it for a while?"
