Finish It!

An experience I had during my senior year at a large university helped open my eyes to the need to go forward and not be a quitter. Right when I was on the brink of a worthy accomplishment, I was temporarily blinded by false pride and stubborn human will.

The afternoon before exams were to begin I was unexpectedly called to the Dean's office and told some courses transferred from a junior college weren't acceptable toward my chosen major. I would not graduate in five months with the rest of my class but would have to attend summer school in order to complete the requirements.

For a few short hours I believed it wasn't worth my effort to continue. When I told Mother that I was dropping out of school, she suggested talking this over with a Christian Science practitioner.
